Best Prices For Desktop Copiers

If you have a small office and the use for a copier isn’t too massive, then going for a smaller copier might be a good idea. If you just need to have a copier at hand when you need it, and you aren’t planning on copying a lot of documents on a regular basis, a desktop copier might be a good choice for you. These machines are usually medium duty, and unlike the all-in-one printers that are directed to consumers, they still can manage a good workload.

If you would just go out and get a home copier, you would be getting a machine that can handle probably 1000 copies a month at maximum. That would be already a really good machine, and that is why you shouldn’t get one for an office. No only the durability is low – if it can handle only less than 1000 pages a month, it is not going to last for long – but also the speed is poor. At an office you won’t want to waste time waiting for the copier to do it’s work. This is time wasted and you don’t want your employees lining up in front of the copier to wait for their turn – that is money wasted. If you have a small capital at the moment, you can try cheap copier rental as an alternative to buying a machine.

Getting a desktop copier is definitely a great choice if you only have a little work that needs to be done, but remember that if you are going to take 20-30 copiers a day, I’d suggest you to get a higher duty model. Even so some great light duty machines include the Sharp AL-1631 which is a good looking machine that has pros and cons like all. The best thing about this is that the copy quality is great. Based on my experiences it is beyond machines at this price range. It also gives you a good and quick speed of copying, but even so I would just have something like this in a one person office. This machine handles about two thousand copies per month – that is the manufacturers recommendation, and you can bet it is lower.

If you have a low budget then the Sharp might be a good choice for you. This is not the type of machine that you would get from a rental, because those machines are more professional, but if you want to purchase a machine then it is a good option. I see a lot of people going for the most inexpensive models when they get their desktop copiers, and you should really think twice about doing that. A good example of this is the Canon PC150 which is going to cost you only about $80, and that does really sound good, even if it has a poor speed of four pages per minute and does not have the possibility to take duplex copies. This brings me to another fact that you need to take in to notice when you are thinking about purchasing a copier – you won’t have to wprry about this with a rental. This copier uses cartridges that cost almost a $100 each. So it is pointless to get something like this because it would be cheaper to get a new machine every time than buy a new cartridge. There are some good desktop copier choices for you.
