Since the beginning of steroid use in bodybuilding the injectable HGH has become more and more popular as a part of a professional bodybuilders steroid regimen. There are many reasons for this but mostly due to the anabolic and fat mobilizing effects of the hormone. When administered in excess the effects should be significant in terms of gaining muscle mass and losing bodyfat and even in some rare studies there have been shown similar effects amongst people who do not have previous athletic experience, but rather are recovering from diseases which have caused significant muscle dystrophy. It is important to keep in mind that studies which would have been conducted with high level athletes with unnaturally high dosages of HGH would be considered highly unethical and therefore they have not been conducted in any extent. Also the athletes who would be taking conduct in such studies would have to give away their athletic status due to doping.
The HGH is produced in the pituitary gland in our brain which is located in the mid-front part of our skull, right blow the eyes and behind the nose. It is a peptide hormone – it is formed through a conjugtion of several amino-acids through a peptide-bond – which is produced and secreted to the bloodstream by the pituitary gland. The production is controlled by the hypothalamus which receives various of signals from different parts of the body, such as information of the blood glucose levels. Since it has blood sugar raising effects through a number of different pathways such as the reduction of insulin sensitivity – less glucose is transferred to the tissues – and the increased glycogen breakdown – more glycogen is released in to the bloodstream from the liver and also by mobilising triglyserides for glucose production from the glyserol of the molecule, it has been shown to have notable effects on the fat speed while combined with a proper low calorie diet.
Ther is not much scientific data that proves injectable HGH to be anabolic in the muscle mass since there are many reasons not to conduct the studies (such as the ones mentined above). Although it is indisputably widely used amongst the professional bodybuilders and this can be noticed because of the eye-catching side-effects of excess injectable HGH in the long term. For short term use there have not been shown to have any significant side-effects and with natural dosages there should be no risk. The most visible side-effects include such as the “GH-gut” which is caused but the growth of the individuals intestines – growth hormone affects the growth and functions of all soft tissues, including smooth muscle cells. Also since the cartilage tissue will have enhanced metabolism the parts of the body which contain cartilage are prone to enlarge. Such inlcude the ears, nose, the eyebrow region and the jaw. This results in distinguished facial charasteristics which makes it easy to identify someone with an excess of HGH. Although it should not be readily accepted that the excess is caused by excessive use of injectable HGH since there can be a superior natural production involved.
